Astra System General Ledger

As in all systems the General Ledger forms the hub of the system, collecting key information from other operational modules in order to present management with timely, accurate financial and operational data to use in the decision making process.

Extremely flexible, the Astra System provides:

  • Multiple department, division, and corporate capability
  • Journal Entry and balance control features
  • Financial Reports including balance sheet, income statements, trial balance, weekly, monthly or annual budgets, posting to future or prior periods (even closed periods) and posting to a closed year
  • Account Inquiry
  • General Ledger activity with detail and history reports
  • User defined account numbers
  • Ability to process 12 or 13 accounting periods
  • Prior period adjustments and prior year adjustments
  • Up to three years of actual maintained
  • Entry of next year’s budge details in advance
  • Interface to Excel or Lotus Spreadsheets for total reporting flexibility

  • Online audit trail of journal entry batches

To make financial reporting easier, Astra has joined with Crystal Reports, world-class Microsoft Windows-based report writer software developed by Crystal Decisions, to create a basic set of general ledger financials which clients can modify and enhance according to their own needs while using Crystal Reports.
