MASTER DISTRIBUTOR FEATURES

The perfect compliment to the Astra Importing and Shipment Tracking system, special features for Master Distributors allow clients to sell effectively to regional distributors through the help of a powerful Lot Order Guide, efficiently handle duty, freight and brokerage, reconcile estimated freight, and price product with freight cost included. Master Distributors are also offered extensive options for holding product which include the ability to:

Hold product for a Salesrep, Customer or Speculation

Hold product in advance of PO receipt

Generate a Hold report that allows each salesrep to review what product has been put aside for them and their customers

View through Astra Information Center screens all the HELD records for a specific item, lot or salesrep. This allows salesrep to see what is being HELD on a Purchase Order to they don’t sell what they can’t deliver.

PRODUCT PROCESSING

For meat and fish processing distributors. Allocates whole fish or primal. Handles immediate and planned production with the ability for sales orders to generate production orders. Sales orders can optionally prompt salesrep to select which whole product to use based on available quantity and estimated selling price or cost. Drill down to production orders from various relevant information center displays The system tracks yields, labor, additional materials, packaging, and byproducts with complete lot tracking and costing.

MULTI-PRODUCT PROCESSING

Helps achieve more efficient grading and processing for items that produce a variety of finished products with different market values. This feature accurately creates and maintains Production Orders in Astra’s Food Processing application system. For example, all whole fish going in, as well as all the different products coming out, including the skin and frame by-products, are more easily and accurately tracked and costed. This feature also allows customers to accommodate and allocate all the costs involved in proportion to the selling (market) value of the item. These costs may include the initial cost of the product, processing labor, other ingredients and overhead. The packaging costs are added to the cost of the individual finished items, while the by-products can be assigned a fixed value to further increase accurate costing of the primary items.

RECIPE/PROCESS MFG.

Batch process mfg environment. Allows for recipe experimentation and shows waste and yields. Reports raw material needs.

POINT OF SALE

This module works with a terminal equipped as cash register with a cash drawer and receipt printer. This allows a cash & carry, counter sales, or retail operation to be linked on-line to the same inventory from which other salespersons may be selling. Includes cash drawer reconciliation.

TELEMARKETING

The Astra Systemÿs telemarketing feature offers online displays to prompt salesreps to effectively make calls, tracks which customers need to be called, and records responses. Separate prospect lists for cold-calling,” as well as existing customer base lists can be used. The feature tells salesreps, for example, which customers need to be called based on a variety of factors such as a determined follow-up day, the day of the week, or the number of days since their last order. After choosing a customer listed on the screen, the salesrep can also review previous notes about the customer or enter new notes. If the customer is ready to place an order, the salesrep can go directly to order entry with the customer still linked.
