Astra pricing is the definition of flexible pricing.Pricing levelsThe Astra System supports an unlimited number of price levels (classes), an unlimited number of quantity break levels, and an extensive Customer contract pricing system that allows for contracted quantities, discounts, merchandise class discounts, and many other features.

Prices may be established as COST PLUS which means that on-demand the system will calculate new selling prices based on a specified markup. Astra can even handle a commodity type item with the DYNAMIC pricing option which will compute the selling price at the time of sale. Any item may use no prices at all, one price selection type, or all simultaneously.

Price change system

The Astra System offers the ability to keep up with a simple or complex pricing scheme with a set of programs that makes it easy to change prices when costs or the market changes. The system will prompt the operator, on an item by item basis, to update prices or costs on a frequency decided upon. At the push of a key all related customer prices will be updated, including each individual customers' price list. The system can then automatically fax out new price lists any time of day, even in the middle of the night.

Price Lists

Price lists can be set up for specific customers or classes of customers. Multiple price list forms or multiple lists for different departments of a single customer can even be compiled.Some of the features of being able to automatically create new price lists are:

* Add lines by Item number, merchandise, class, or your customer's item number
* Heading lines
* Manually entered override descriptions
* Option to show change from last price or last 2 prices

* New prices can be generated on demand using cost plus calculations
