Processing and Grading Options

PRODUCT PROCESSING

For meat and fish processing distributors. Allocates whole fish or primal. Handles immediate and planned production with the ability for sales orders to generate production orders. Sales orders can optionally prompt salesrep to select which whole product to use based on available quantity and estimated selling price or cost. Drill down to production orders from various relevant information center displays The system tracks yields, labor, additional materials, packaging, and byproducts with complete lot tracking and costing.

MULTI-PRODUCT PROCESSING

Helps achieve more efficient grading and processing for items that produce a variety of finished products with different market values. This feature accurately creates and maintains Production Orders in Astra’s Food Processing application system. For example, all whole fish going in, as well as all the different products coming out, including the skin and frame by-products, are more easily and accurately tracked and costed. This feature also allows customers to accommodate and allocate all the costs involved in proportion to the selling (market) value of the item. These costs may include the initial cost of the product, processing labor, other ingredients and overhead. the packaging costs are added to the cost of the individual finished items, while the by-products can be assigned a fixed value to further increase accurate costing of the primary items.

RECIPE/PROCESS MFG.

Batch process mfg environment. Allows for recipe experimentation and shows waste and yields. Reports raw material needs.

LARGE FISH GRADING SYSTEM

Handles the grading of pre-graded (labeled) or un-graded product, provides a complete audit trail and additional reports, handles splitting a box to create additional boxes or pieces, provides instant label printing for the split box or piece, and allows grading detail information displays in the system’s Inventory Information Center.
