Last week, Microsoft announced the introduction of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft AppSource. We, at AFS, were excited when AFS Retail Execution was picked as one of 200 partners to be featured as part of the AppSource launch. Read the press release.
The background on the new releases are that Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an evolution of its current CRM and ERP cloud solutions into one cloud service with new purpose-built apps to help manage specific business functions. AppSource is Microsoft’s listing for cloud-based apps that enterprises can use with Office 365, Azure, Power BI, and Dynamics. These third party apps can be added into Microsoft’s cloud services to customize or enhance functionality. Businesses can also try out apps before they commit to anything.
At launch AppSource contains more than 200 business SaaS apps, add-ins and content packs, including exclusive new industry-specific business apps such as AFS Retail Execution. Visit the Microsoft Appsource.
“Microsoft AppSource is a game changer. CG manufacturers and distributors who want retail execution capabilities will now be able to match requirements based on industry strategies and specific business pain points to the workflows, analytics, features and functions in our applications, said Joe Bellini, CEO, AFS Technologies. “Our customers will also be enabled to innovate their processes within the AppSource environment given the ability to extend our applications through Microsoft services as well as other applications available in the environment,” he added.
Microsoft is committed to helping consumer goods companies modernize their business. According to many leading analyst firms, multiple forces have made retail execution one of the top three investment priorities for a consumer goods company. Microsoft strengthened its partnership with AFS Technologies to develop a comprehensive retail execution solution that helps consumer goods organizations modernize their businesses without expanding infrastructure. Retail Execution is the first of many Finished Solutions, making it easy for BDMs to solve for their specific business problems, without the need to integrate disparate point solutions, and without the need to write complex code.
